Unmapped

£6.25

Emily Wills grew up in Cornwall and works as a GP in Gloucestershire. Her two earlier collections, Diverting the Sea (The Rialto 2000) and Developing the Negative (The Rialto 2008) introduced her to a loyal following, but we are hoping that Unmapped, which is full of entirely new work, some of which has won prizes in national competitions, will introduce her to a wider audience. Emily has a very steady eye and her poetry is direct and plain spoken. It’s the poetry of a person who seeks to do right in the world, a poetry powered by love.
Michael Mackmin

These are sharp and quirky poems, both of eye, ear and subject material. Scrupulous observation and emotional fidelity make this pamphlet a significant publication. Highly recommended!
Penelope Shuttle

Heartening new poems by Emily Wills who faces up to ‘the sheer drop (that) edges nearer my stuck front door’ with admirable intelligence, humanity and linguistic vitality.
