Plus a close reading of one or two of the chosen poems.<\/p>\n<p>12.00am \u2013 1.00pm<br \/>\n<strong>Strictly Spoken<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>British Columbia Hall | Entry free<\/em><br \/>\nA chance to perform a given poem and get feedback on your performance from a panel of judges, including one or more of the invited poets. The chosen poem is \u2018The Lake Isle of Innisfree\u2019 by W.B. Yeats. The winner will receive a prize of \u00a320.00.<\/p>\n<p>1.00pm<br \/>\n<strong>Poetry at Lunchtime<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>British Columbia Hall | Entry free<\/em><br \/>\nBuffet lunch and light refreshments on sale, or bring your own picnic.<\/p>\n<p>2.00pm \u2013 3.30pm<br \/>\n<strong>Family Workshop\/Poetry Stroll<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>British Columbia Hall, church and surrounds | Entry free<\/em><br \/>\nWorkshop for individuals or the whole family with Phil Barrett. A gentle stroll collecting material (actual or recorded, real or imagined, individually or in a family group), with which to make a poem or poems. In poems the participants will try to utilise the sights, sounds, smells, touch and taste of their experience of place. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.<\/p>\n<p>4.00pm \u2013 4.45pm<br \/>\n<strong>Consequences, Cake and a Cuppa<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>British Columbia Hall and surrounds | Entry free<\/em><br \/>\nWhilst enjoying a cake and a cuppa, you can take part in Poetry Games (e.g. Consequences or as the Surrealists called it Exquisite Corpse, where random sentences are combined into sequences, creating strange surreal narratives). A great opportunity to mingle and enjoy refreshments before the mid-evening reading begins. These and other forms of poetic play will be used to adorn the \u2018poetry tree\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>5.30pm \u2013 6.15pm<br \/>\n<strong>Poetry Evensong<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Salthouse Church | Entry free<\/em><br \/>\nA celebration of the King James Bible led by the Very Rev Graham Smith, Dean of Norwich Cathedral.<\/p>\n<p>7.00pm \u2013 9.00pm<br \/>\n<strong>Poetry and Pimms<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Salthouse Church | Admission \u00a37.00 \u2013 includes 1 free Pimms<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Poetry on a Summer Evening<\/strong><br \/>\nPimms available from 7.00 and during the interval at 8.00pm.
